Calendar including proposed field trips, Shabbat learning days, special dinners and parent learning offerings.
Amitim meets on Tuesdays 4:30-6:30 (except for holidays)
First Day:  September 10, 2019; LAST DAY:  May 19, 2020

*Amitim will not meet for class during the Jewish High Holidays, but we will have a track specifically for Amitim on October 1, 2019 (Rosh Hashana), October 9, 2019 (Yom Kippur), October 13, 2019 (help build the CNS Sukkah) and Oct. 21 (Simchat Torah) and possibly for other holidays during the year.

THERE IS NO CHARGE for Amitim High Holiday participation, however YOU MUST REGISTER.

Amitim Shabbat learning sessions with Jacob Schwartz: 9/21, 10/19, 11/9.  Spring dates tbd.

Family gatherings & parent invitation to student learning with guest speakers. Reminders and details will be sent as they come closer.
Oct. 13 - Sukkah building at CNS. (Time tbd)
Oct. 15 - Sukkah Dinner, 6:30 - 8pm 
Oct. 29 - Class time invitation Jewish views on the afterlife with Rabbi Peretz Wolf-Prussan (to be confirmed)
Nov. 10, SUNDAY- Visit to a Cemetery (details to be confirmed)
Dec. 17- Pre-Hanukkah Gathering

Dates for the spring are being confirmed. Field trips include:
February- a Food trip to Urban Adamah
March- likely Sunday, March 1 - Men's Shelter voluteering
April- visit to Midrasha, USY or Hillel
May 19 - End of year Siyyum

Camping trip for Amitim I (6th graders): Save the date, March 27-29, 2020.
Overnight for Amitim II: Fall 2020.

Parent Workshops will include these topics (dates TBD):
·         Writing and giving a blessing to your kid, with Yossi Fendel.
·         Planning your ceremony and weekend, with Jessica Wilan.
·         Tying tzitzit for parents and kids, with April Schlanger.
·         Tzedaka workshop for the Amitim II students with Rebecca Millikin & Max Mankita.
·         There will be a Midrasha session and presentation in the Spring with Mark Deutsch.
